About Kerry Kupferschmidt
I have been painting for over 30 years, since receiving a B.F.A. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1977. I have almost always had other sources of income, so full-time painting has been a long time coming. I grew to love watercolor especially over the years. Back in 1994 I started a business doing architectural renderings, especially custom homes. That business enabled me to make use of my drawing, watercolor and perspective skills.
The rendering buiness has continued to grow and I spend other avaiable time painting, landscapes mostly. I continue to show my work at regional shows, and also paint in acrylics and occasionally with oils. I also have taught watercolor classes in Eagan, Hopkins and most recently in the central lakes area of Minnesota.
After a year spent in North Carolina, my wife and I returned to Minnesota. I find much inspiration in the winter landscape and small town scenes.
